Las Vegas Lights FC Technical Director Jose Luis Sanchez Sola has been suspended for the second time in the club’s inaugural 2018 season.

Chelis was issued a seven-match suspension earlier in the season for referee assault following a home match vs San Antonio FC. The suspension was appealed down to a four-match ban.
The two suspensions will see Chelis be barred from the touch line for almost half of Vegas’ inaugural season.
Local site Vegas Soccer Blog sounds off on several topics many Lights fans are feeling in this post, the most blatant being a questioning of the role Chelis is meant to fill. While originally announced as the club’s inaugural Head Coach, Chelis transitioned to the Technical Director role, prompting the club to name his son Isidro Sanchez Head Coach.
What is a Technical Director doing on the touch line? It will be at least 8 matches before Las Vegas fans will have to ask themselves that question again.
